A thank you and a thank you

Thank you so much for all of the well wishes both as comments and as emails in response to the announcement of my impending move.  I certainly have a lot to do before July gets here and time seems short.  I hope I am able to get everything done that I need to do.  *fingers crossed*  It’s very exciting but also very scary.  I really hope that everything will work out well.  *deep breaths*

I also wanted to thank Kathy of Spottedroo.  She has been teaching how to paint on her blog recently and I have been following along with great interest.  When she mentioned she was having an open studio showcasing her paintings, I started drooling.  Check out her Flickr page!  I couldn’t resist and am now the proud owner of this painting, Dry Autumn.

I can’t wait to get it framed and put it up in my new home in San Diego.

I missed your last post because of life stuff but I really wish you all the very best. I can’t tell you how much I admire this in N. Americans – ‘let’s move and see what happens’ – from a crazy European who went to London and came home!

Glad you got the painting. I hope you like it! Good luck with the move!

Oh what a lovely painting – you’ll find the perfect spot for it when you get to your new home. How wonderful to read you are soon off to San Diego and oh you have so much to do. Wow to be leaving NY and corporate life, and how Jack will love being close to his grandies as do my girls. We moved from London to much smaller digs for our wee family in the making, so I really am excited for you both.
