An oldie but a goodie

My sister has some mad skills with the camera.  My sister in law too.  In fact, I should hire both of them to do all my photography, but I live so far away now.  I miss the days when I lived three blocks from my sister or better yet, in the same building, when I lived in NYC and could just call her up the second I finished a garment to ask her to take my pictures.  Sometimes I would stop by during my lunch break.  Ahhh, those were the days.  But I have the Pacific Ocean and palm trees now, so I’m not complaining.  (Well, maybe a little.)

Long story long… my sister sent me some pictures she’d just taken of Katie and Thor and wouldn’t you know it, but Katie was wearing one of my first SEWN garments.

Here’s the original post on the top, New Look 6821.  And a couple of pics from back then in 2009.

And here’s Katie wearing her top four years later.  FOUR YEARS!  Can you believe she can still wear it??!!??

Amazing.  I guess it was constructed well enough to last this long.  Phew!  And check out my sister’s beautiful photography.  Gorgeous!

I’m pretty pleased that this top is so versatile and obviously well-loved.  It warms this seamstress’ heart.

Wow! Yep, your sister’s photos really sing. And so does the top! Good job, both of you.

Wow – that photography is gorgeous. As is that child. And that top. All around win.
