It’s that time of year again!

You know it.  It’s time for teacher’s gifts.  This week has been full of life activities:

  • My parents are in town
  • The little boy who lives with me had a birthday with two parties (one on the weekend and one at school for which muffins were made)
  • And the little boy who lives with me had a “graduation” from pre-school (for which a from scratch lasagna was made)
  • I am deep in the throes of the Big Move preparation with appointments with moving companies, scheduling dr appts, making lists of things to do, etc.

I have been quite overwhelmed with stuff to do as you can see.  The last day of school is today so it was absolutely the last day to give teacher’s gifts to Jack’s two pre-school teachers.  Since I was short on time and energy, I went with my TNT gift, wine with wine bag.  I used Trena’s tutorial again.  Last year I made my own self fabric ties.  This year, I went with ribbon since I had some matching stash on hand.  Since these are different teachers from last year, this is the first time they are receiving wine from me.  😉   I again gifted my fave white wine, Riverstone from Stave 28.  I love these wines.  If you can, do yourself a favor and try my friend Michael’s wine.  It is to die for.  Really!

And here are the pretty little gifts…

And just because I can’t resist, here’s a picture of me and the little boy on graduation day that my sister the photographer took.  Isn’t he the cutest???

PS:  Because I sewed up those wine bags last night, I can feel my mojo returning.  I might have a dress for you to take a gander at this weekend.  Fingers crossed!!!

Great picture! You look beautiful in it. Must be the serenity of making a big decision that just feels right. Can’t wait to hear about the new chapters in your life.

Thanks for reminding me that I need to start thinking about teacher presents!

Elizabeth – what a marvellous picture of you both 🙂
May I say that given the busy-i-ness of your big-move preparations you look so very happy, healthy & well rested in that photo – whatever you’re taking can you bottle it & send me some please ;)?

Elizabeth, it’s been a long time. Congratulations on being able to follow your heart to enjoy your life. Though the path may be rocky at times it’s much more fun. You sure have a cute little boy. I’m sure he brings a new perspective to the direction of your dreams. Music to sewing , how did that happen? Thank you so much for the card, how fun to open it up and travel back in years. I just turned 60. I don’t know if I like it or not. Jumpimg around we had some good day at Cadwell, Thank you for helping to bring the memories back! Contiune to have a wonderful life.

Thank you for visiting my blog Mr. Doetsch! What a treat!

People, Mr. Doetsch was my 6th grade teacher. He’s amazing. How sweet to get a comment from one the best teachers I’ve ever had. 🙂 It made my day.

I don’t think it’s really very polite to refer to yourself as a winebag… xos

My first thought was, “gosh you look so pretty in that photo” but I can see others have beaten me to it. Lovely photo of you and your son. All the best with the move, “fortune favours the brave”.

Adorable photo of you two! Will you be getting over here to Mood before you leave? Didn’t know if you had spent your gift certificate yet or not.

Yes, he certainly is a cutie. I bet those wine bottles are already empty. It’s always time to celebrate when school is out!
