Move from hell

2012 October 20
by elizabeth_admin

Just checking in with y’all. The last two weeks have been pretty hellacious. The move day was epically long culminating with the discovery that we had no hot water or cooking gas. And did not for the next three days. Couple that with no cable or Internet and you have some pretty cranky natives. We still won’t have Internet for another 4 days. I won’t go into the whys of it all except for that someone (hi Mom!) forgot to call the cable company to book the appt until the last minute. I’m going nuts here not being able to watch the Walking Dead.

I have not yet unpacked my sewing room. Apparently rooms like the kitchen and the little boy’s room/toy’s took precedence.  and I leave on Monday for LA on a business trip. So who knowwheaten the sewing room will be finished or even minimally unpacked. *sigh*

the good news is though that I might sneak in some fabric shopping while I’m in LA. Can’t wait!!!

happy sewing to those who are able!

Ahhh Elizabeth poor you! Moving house is so stressful – but knowing you you shall persevere, overcome and conquer your new-home woes 🙂

Sorry to hear it’s been hard! On the plus side, you’ve at least moved in. Looking forward to hearing how you get on 🙂

I feel you on the moving thing! When we moved into our house someone (read: me) didn’t call the water company to have the account switched, so they turned off the water the day we moved in… on a Saturday… and weren’t back til Tuesday. So I know what you mean – it’s so hard to remember everything!
