NYC and Back

2013 February 7
by elizabeth_admin

Wow, that was a packed four day trip.  I can’t believe I managed to fit in all that I was able to do.  I was a mad woman.  And I only took 3 cabs.  I will admit to being lazy sometimes and just jumping into a cab.

I ate at my favorite Mexican restaurant, Cafe Frida (BEST molé sauce ever! and let’s not forget the killer guera margaritas.).  I ate my way through the Beyonce football game.  Babysat my niece and nephew, attended two days of the DG Expo, met up with Meg, Karen, Claudine and Carolyn throughout the week.  And, yes, I know you’re tapping your foot to find out, I did come home with some fabric.

I unfortunately didn’t get any pictures of the DG Expo, but it was fun and very informative — I learned a lot.  It was soooo good to reconnect with my sewing buddies.  I was going non-stop from arrival to departure.  I didn’t get to see everyone I wanted to, but there’s only so much you can fit into four days.

Here are the goodies that came home with me.

Silk Charmeuse from Paron’s

While I am sad to have left NYC again, I am glad to be home with the little boy who lives with me.  We snuggled up a ton this morning.  And I have a full day to myself, so I’m gonna get my machines a-humming.

Happy sewing!
