This is not the actual plane on which we are flying to NYC. Jack made this one.

Folks, I am hopping on a jet plane this morning and heading for the other coast of this great country.  Jack and I are excited to see family and friends.  And I am jonesing for my Garment District fix.

Who’s gonna join me?    We’ve already got a decent group going, but I would love to see more of my sewing friends if I could while I’m in town.

I’m starting at the Met for an exhibition and then it’s Garment District time.  See loose schedule below.  If you want to join later in the day or only for the Garment District debauchery, email me at elizabeth at sewnblog dot com and I will send you my mobile number.

Saturday, April 6th

11:00am          Meet on the steps of the Met for the Impressionism, Fashion, Modernity Exhibit

12:30pm ish   Lunch nearby

2:00pm ish     Head on down for some fabric hoarding shopping in the Garment District

I can’t wait!!!    See you soon, Garment District!  Oh how I love thee.

What a treat to go to the exhibition and go to the garment district. I’m sure you will have enjoyed the exhibit. I have seen it in Paris and have spent a long time seeing it all.
