Off the grid

Hey there!

Remember me?  I’m sorry that my posting has been so sporadic the last two months.  Life has really thrown some unexpected things my way.  Some good (social life), some not so good (Jack’s health).  Jack and his health are really taking my attention and energy away from sewing.

I have been knitting a little.  I found a great sweater vest pattern for Jack’s annual sweater and will make it in the same yarn combo I used for his hat and scarf.

I received my Simplicity pencil skirt pattern for which I want to use my precious cashmere corduroy (again, hands off Karen!).

Fall Wardrobe Perfection!

Happy fall knitting and sewing to you all!  I hope to start working on both of these projects this week.  Wish me luck and energy please.

Look forward to seeing your skirt upon completion. So sorry to hear about Jack’s health. Hope you see improvement soon. Tough when a little guy is having health problems.

Quit teasing us with that lovely corduroy! The knitted vest is adorable. Hand knitted stuff looks so much better than what’s available in the stores.

I am so sorry that Jack has not been feeling so good – I am thinking good thoughts for him and hope that he will be much better very soon. I love your cashmere corduroy – how luxurious and what a delicious rich colour!

I hope Jack gets well soon, and you get some time and energy for yourself. Keep us updated! (The sweater vest is so cute!!)

It was so good to meet you the other day! I’m so sorry that Jack isn’t feeling well. Good luck with the skirt, I’m sure it will turn out fabulous!

I’m sending healing energy to Jack and lots of sewing mojo to you!

Of course all good wishes to Jack and you, but you could guarantee loads of good karma by just popping that corduroy in the mail . . . the sewing gods would smile on your kindness and you’d never have to rip another seam. I’m just sayin’.

Nice try Karen, but it’s not gonna happen!

I hope your son is all well again soon. When our kids are sick, the stress and extra activity can be so extreme…

Thinking of you both, I hope things improve soon. Can’t wait to see the skirt, that’s going to be such a good colour on you.

That fabric is beautiful! I hope your son gets better soon.

I hope Jack feels better soon. You are doing a great job, & putting your energy in the right place, but I know how it can feel when you feel there;s not a corner of the day left for you. Fingers crossed you get some space soon.

Oh, I’m so sorry to hear about Jack’s ill health. It’s so hard when our little people feel yucky. I do hope you rest when you can. Sometimes sewing is my “rest” when I’m feeling overwhelmed. And your skirt will be *wow*. Looking forward to seeing it soon!

I will be praying for Jack. Hope he gets better soon. Make sure you try and get rest.
