Sewing Confessional

Yes, I am about to tattle on myself again.

I have a confession to make.  Remember how excited I was about getting a vintage Singer Featherweight?

Well, I have used it a few times, but felt I was missing something about it’s operation.  Something that people “knew” but that I didn’t know myself.  So, I put it away (when I thought a hurricane was coming) and never took it back out (when the hurricane never showed up).

But now I want incorporate using my Featherweight in my garment sewing — heretofore I have only used it for craft sewing.

So I had the brilliant idea that Peter should come visit me and give me a hands on lesson on operating one of these puppies.  What do you say Peter?  I’m only a subway ride and 10 min walk away.  😉

Thanks for your lovely comment, and I love your cashmere corduroy skirt! I never knew there was even such a thing, sounds absolutely bliss to wear! And it looks so classy styled with that pretty ivory jumper too…
