Sneak Peek: NL 6067

2011 December 8
by elizabeth_admin

It was a race to the finish last night folks!  And truth be told, I still have a bit of hand stitching to go on this puppy, but basically, my dress is done.  There were a lot of opportunities for perfection last night, i.e., things that needed to be unpicked and resewn, but I am just so darn pleased with my dress.

Here’s a sneak peek of the obi belt.  It was my first piping insertion (no lewd jokes please), and I am calling it an unqualified success!

Full review of the pattern and pictures of the dress on me tomorrow!  I am wearing the dress tonight to a work holiday dinner!

Well, I think if you can call something an ‘unqualified success’ that’s a pretty happy place to be!

Oooh, I can’t wait to see the finished dress! The fabric is so pretty. I have to admit my few experiences sewing silk haven’t been so successful so I’m kind of scarred off now. Did you have any trouble with your fabric?
