Starting to think of Fall…

2013 August 29
by elizabeth_admin

even though it’s hot as Hades here.  Apparently, Indian Summer in San Diego is hotter that actual Summer.  Who’da thunk it?!

But with so many of you already thinking about Fall sewing, now I am too.

Here’s what I have on my list so far…

1.  The Asos top knock off with double knit and faux leather, pattern TBD.

2.  The shark feather faux fur vest with faux leather accents, pattern TBD.

3.  Another knit not-so-mini skirt, maybe black?

4.  Some long sleeve knit tops, maybe Sewaholic Renfrews or Style Arc Pleated Pia tops?

I think that’s enough for now.  Especially since it’s going to be in the 80’s until November here.  I know, you feel real sorry for me right about now, don’t you?

Happy sewing!

I am excited to see these, especially the first two! Should be lots of fun.

Oh, and, yeah, San Diego doesn’t get really hot until the end of August, then it lulls for a few weeks before getting really hot again at the end of September. Once October hits (and there aren’t any more college kids to move into dorms or apartments) then it cools off pretty quick. Sounds ridiculous, but I can tell you that the three hottest weeks of the year in San Diego are (1) end of August college move in week, (2) end of September college move in week (for the quarter system schools), and (3) graduation weekend. Once is funny, twice is coincidence, but five years in a row?

Also, in response to your comment on my blog – it would be super fun to meet up again sometime! Just don’t know when at the moment, since my schedule is starting to fill as the students I have been tutoring are heading back to classes the week…
