Super Busy

Forgive me readers, for I have been busy.  Super busy.  My entire family is in town.  Two teeth were lost (Jack’s first and Katie’s fourth).  Disneyland was visited for the first time ever.  (My feet are still aching from the 10 hours on my feet.)  Pool swimming has been done numerous times, including swim lessons for all the cousins.  Beaching has been done, including boogie boarding and sand projects.  Painting happened.  S’mores on the firepit were enjoyed.  And tons of cooking and eating (homemade pizzas, chocolate chip challah french toast, carnitas, barbacoa, kalbi, pa jun, Chino’s corn, ….  The list goes on and on.).  It was a great week.  And we still have a few more days left.  I’m tired just thinking about it.

Here are a couple of pictures…

In sewing news, I received my first order of Style Arc patterns.  I’m super excited to dive right into them.

I hope to get back to sewing real soon.  Jack starts school in a week!  This summer sure has flown by.  I hope you are all having a great end of summer.  Please sew something for me!

Your baby is getting so mature! And I want to hear your thoughts about those patterns. I’ve wanted to order them – but the shipping cost alone freaks me out.

Sounds like fun (and tiring) and soon to be great memories!

I really like the koi painting! and all the food you’ve been eating sounds delish! Sounds like a fab summer vacay!!

I finally sewed up the stretch lace I bought with you at Discount Fabrics–but not in the way I mentioned when I bought it! It’s on my blog if you want to check it out.

Sounds like a fun week! I went to Disneyland a few years ago and it was amazing even though I was older than your kids are. I went for four days in a row… LA is a 12 hour flight away so we thought we had better make it last! I’m excited to see what those patterns turn out like.
