Teacher’s Gift

2012 December 21
by elizabeth_admin

I am starting to sense a recurring theme in my teacher’s gifts.  Hmmm…  Hey, what can I say?  I just like to give things that I love and would like to receive.  Isn’t there a golden rule about that kind of thing?  Or am I bending the golden rule a tad?

Not a whole lot to say about this iteration.  I used Trena’s tutorial again.  I sewed a 1/4 inch hem (doubled over to enclose the raw edge) at the top to finish it off.  I tried to use my rolled hem foot on that top, but I didn’t feel like putting in the practice on it beforehand.  It’s late and I just wanted to get it over with.  I think I have a sewing hangover.  Oh, and I slapped on my SEWN label into the seam allowance to make it all official-like.  🙂

In other sewing news, I am almost done with Jammiepalooza 2012.  I just have one more pj top to make and then I’m done!  Well almost done.  I still have to add the ruffle hems for the girls lounge pants and hem the boy’s pants, not to mention adjust the elastic on them so they fit just so.  But that won’t take that long.  Famous last words right?

And just because I can’t resist, here’s a picture of the little boy who lives with me.  My favoritest reindeer in the world.

Happy sewing everyone!
