The Holy Grail

2011 February 24
by elizabeth_admin

I think I’ve found the holy grail!!!   Of blouses, that is.   Check this out…

Meet Simplicity 2614.  She’s a beaut!  Not only can you use your fabric on the bias, but you can haz bows too.  Also, let’s not forget that this pattern has different size cups already drafted for you.  Can you say, “easy peasy?”  And, now this is a rarity for me, I love all the views.  How often can you say that?  I think this will be a pretty versatile pattern for my work wardrobe and can see myself making this blouse over and over again without looking like a uniform.  Different fabrics, different views and you’ve got a drastically different top each time.

Unfortunately, this is NOT one of the blouses in my pattern stash. is having a Simplicity sale right now, but they don’t have this pattern stocked.  🙁  Ebay has one, but it’s in England and costs $14 right out of the gate.  I can get it at the Simplicity site for $10 and some change.

So that’s what I’m gonna do.  I can’t wait to muslin this baby!

I have this pattern! I love it too (the BOW!), but I haven’t made it yet. I could send it to you if you want! You could just trace it and send her on back!

Let me know! If you haven’t already bought it 😀
