Unsolicitation #3

2011 March 6
by elizabeth_admin

I received another unsolicitation last night!!!  I wore my FFS (faux fur skirt) to an Ute Lemper concert at Jazz at Lincoln Center (which oddly is not at Lincoln Center).  As I was sitting down, a lady next to me told me she loved my skirt!

Of course, the concert was great, but it was made even sweeter with an unsolicitation.

Have you received any unsolicitations lately?

BRILLIANT! Proof, if proof were needed, that you were right to make this skirt.

Most excellent! I had one in the grocery store a few weeks ago when I was wearing one of my ridiculous circle skirts, from a fourteen-year-old girl of all people…

I think a piece like that fur skirt is definitely likely to garner plenty, though!

The skirt looks fabulous!! I got an unsolicitation a couple of weeks ago from a few of my co-workers for a dress that I made. It’s so nice when it happens because it confirms that you are on the right track with your sewing.

You do look nice Elizabeth! I must say that I have enjoyed wearing my creations this winter more than ever before. I’ve gotten so very many compliments at work, only problem is when they find out I sew, all have requests which makes things hard. Keep rocking your FFskirt, it looks great.

That skirt looks fantastic on you.

Unsolicited compliments on things I sew just make my day. A coworker complimented my latest top. I posted on facebook about it- so lots of people said something to me, but she’s not on facebook- so I know hers at least was a real compliment!

Does it count as an unsolicitation if you know the person, or does it have to be from a stranger? If it can be from someone you know, I got two compliments from people I know on my top when I wore it last week

You look great! I’ve been following the progress of your skirt, and am now harbouring urges to look at faux fur at the fabric store…

The last unsolicitation I got was last Friday, at a friend’s wedding. I made the Ceil Chapman Skylark dress, and several people complimented me on it. I was so chuffed, especially as I’d been a bit on the fence about it!

I love it too! It really is gorgeous and looks great with the red twin set.
